AI voiceovers with ElevenLabs
An AI voiceover works best when the script is written to be spoken. Here is the workflow I use for short tutorials.
1. Write for the ear
- Short sentences, one idea each.
- Spell out numbers and abbreviations the way they should be said (“A-P-I”, “twenty twenty-six”).
- Use punctuation to control pace: commas for short pauses, new paragraphs for longer ones.
2. Choose a voice
Try two or three voices from the library on the same paragraph. For Arabic, use a multilingual model and test pronunciation of brand names. Keep one voice for a series so viewers recognise it.
3. Tune the settings
Lower stability gives more expressive delivery but more variation between takes; higher stability is more consistent. Generate one paragraph at a time so you can regenerate only the part that sounds off.
4. Edit and mix
Import the audio into your editor, cut gaps, and keep background music well below the voice. Export at the platform’s recommended settings.
5. Disclose and stay within the rules
Only clone your own voice or a voice you have permission to use. Use the AI-generated content labels on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram when they apply to your video.
