Build a funnel on Systeme.io for free

A simple lead-magnet funnel using only the free plan. · Abdulrhman Alharbi · October 2026

A basic funnel has two pages: a page that offers something useful in exchange for an email, and a thank-you page that delivers it. Systeme.io’s free plan is enough for this.

1. Prepare the offer

Pick one small, specific resource your audience actually asks for — a checklist, a template or a short PDF guide. Upload it somewhere you can link to, or host it as a free course inside Systeme.io.

2. Create the funnel

  1. Go to Funnels → Create and choose the goal “Build audience”.
  2. Pick a squeeze-page template. Edit the headline to say exactly what the person gets, keep the form to just the email field.
  3. Edit the thank-you page with the download link or course access instructions.

3. Automate the delivery email

Under the opt-in page settings, add an automation rule: when the form is submitted, add a tag (e.g. lead-checklist) and send an email with the resource link. Write it plainly and include how to unsubscribe (Systeme.io adds the link automatically).

4. Set up your sending domain

Add your own domain and the DNS records Systeme.io shows (SPF, DKIM). This noticeably improves the chance your emails land in the inbox.

5. Publish and test

Submit the form yourself with a second email address, confirm the email arrives, and check the page on a phone. Then link the funnel from your bio and video descriptions.

Be clear on the page about what people will receive by email, and only email people who signed up.
